Ok seriously... this stuff is like CrossFit CRACK!
I love the taste: a subtle but not overbearing hint of coffee. I tried this before my workout this morning, and MAN, was I on fire! Beast mode was definitely activated. Sometimes I have coffee pre-workout, but I find that coffee buzz really doesn't last. In Steem, the natural fats from the peanut butter slows down digestion and absorption of the caffeine, giving you a longer-lasting kick that drives you through your entire workout. Highly recommend - 5 stars!
Steem is available Internationally from Vegan Proteins <<< order here!
Many apologies for the lack of blog posts lately!
It's definitely taken a back seat for a while! But I hope to try and post maybe once a week from now on :)
I wanted to let you know of 2 upcoming vegan events that I will be talking at: World Vegan Day (Melbourne) and the Vegan Festival (Adelaide)
Today was arms! I am now 6 weeks out from competing in Austin, TX at the Naturally Fit Games with PlantBuilt and Evolved Generation. We are competing en-mass as a vegan muscle team, up against omnivores, in a variety of strength and bodybuilding sports... and we plan to DOMINATE!
To help us raise money for vegan charities and to support the team, click here: igg.me/at/plantbuilt
Otherwise read on to see my workout! I couldn't even lift my arms to tie my hair up after this, enjoy!
This year, I am joining forces with PlantBuilt, alongside Evolved Generation.
PlantBuilt is a team of vegan athletes who raise awareness about the benefits of veganism while also raising money for animal sanctuaries and vegan outreach. PlantBuilt was founded in the fall of 2012 by a group of physique and bodybuilding competitors with the shared goal of promoting a vegan diet in a sport where eating animal products is gospel and being vegan is mostly unheard of. It's easy to see one vegan win a show and cry "Genetics!"
But when you see a team of vegans all winning at once.....
In celebration of the New Year, and to take part in the #MyVeganStory initiative, I have decided to share "My Vegan Story".
I hope that it can provide some inspiration for you to make a compassionate lifestyle change in 2015.

Anway, here's how it all started for me...
Cuddling a cute lamb who was rescued by Animal Liberation Victoria.
Yesterday I trained shoulders and abs as supersets. Surprisingly, the combination of abdominal work gave me crazy DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, for those that don't know!) for 2 days, something that doesn't happen often for me! Well, not through my core anyway.
Obviously my workout targeted the muscles extremely well, so I thought I would share what I did for my abs. You can work these moves into any other routine, simply pick 4 exercises of another body part you wish to train and superset away!
I decided to play around with my training a bit yesterday. I'm loving the faster-paced, high intensity workouts involved with crossfit, but the bodybuilder part of my brain keeps nagging me to target specific muscle groups!
So I decided to try blending the two together in last night's shoulders and abs workout, with exercises I would use in a regular bodybuilding session, blended with a crossfit training style.
The result was a fast, flat-out session that left me puffing, pumped and totally wrecked!
I finally have a spare minute to share my long-overdue Prana Protein Fudge recipe! With my next order of PowePlant Protein on the way, stay tuned for more high protein recipes using this amazing product!
Check it out at www.pranaon.com, and give them a "like" on Facebook and Instagram too. Seriously hands-down THE BEST vegan protein powder in terms of taste, texture and ingredients, not to mention it's also raw, organic, gluten-free, soy-free, completely natural and alkaline!
Anyway, on to the recipe...
Apologies for not keeping up with this blog as I intended! It just got too much towards the end, but I am over the moon to announce that I took out first place in the Figure Novice division at the 2014 IFBB Victorian State Championships last Sunday! I have uploaded more photos to the Competition Gallery. Not only was I really proud of my own win, but fellow vegan competitor Renae Thomas took home gold in the Bikini Open division as well! She's beautiful inside and out, as well as so inspiring and knowledgeable. She has a really helpful and informative YouTube channel, I suggest you all check it out: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG99Z24jtk_0vprCJoIkVMA
Though my journey competing as a vegan, I've learned that, diet aside, there are a lot of non-vegan products and accessories associated with primping and priming your body for the stage. The first couple of comps I did, I found it almost mind-boggling trying to find alternatives. So here's a list of must-haves to get you on the stage 100% cruelty-free!
