This recipe is super easy, high protein, low carb, and extra creamy thanks to the blend power of the Mod Blend Pro! Just 3 ingredients, or you can modify this base recipe to make your own combinations!
100g nuts - I used walnuts here, but cashews make this extra creamy. Try it with different nuts or seeds!
80g (2 scoops) vegan proten blend - I used PranaON Himalayan Salted Caramel here
200ml water or liquid (such as nut milk)
If using unflavoured protein, you might want to add some sweentness and flavouring, such as maple syrup, cocoa, stevia etc.
Simply blend all the ingredients in the Mod Blend Pro! If you use the "hot chocolate" setting, the texture will go REALLY smooth and custardy, however this will heat the mousse so you'll need to refridgerate befre eating.
Walnuts are high in omega 3's which is why I wanted to try this recipe with walnuts, however any nut or seed will contain an excellent dose of healthy, whole food-based fat. If you want to lower the fat content, you can reduce the amount of nuts, however it won't be as creamy!
Alternatively, this would make a nice spread, or topping for oatmeal or a smoothie bowl!
